Use
the chart below to compare new parts installed in Remanufactured
engineS to those used by most
other remanufacturers, or in an overhaul.

As Required
*Included in engines with heads
** New oil pump (or kit if pump
is part of the timing cover ) supplied unless not available
from our primary supplier.
*** Guides are reamed to fit
oversized valves or replaced new. Never knurled.
NOTE:
Most engine remanufacturers use reground valves, refaced rockers,
used valve springs and used push rods. When used or reconditioned
valve train parts are installed - it can change the geometry
of the valve train which could result in pre-mature wear or
engine failure. At The Companympany, Inc. we use only new parts in our heads
which assure a long and dependable service period.

Machining
Process
The
remanufacturing process followed by The Company.
is the most demanding in the industry. Many follow a portion
of these procedures, but to our knowledge, the engine is one of the few in the U.S.A. that follows all
of the exacting details shown.

1.
|
Many
remanufacturers regrind the valve face, and also the valve stem.
A reground valve may last through the warranty period, however,
engines with heads have new valves which should last
as long or longer than the original engine. |
2.
|
All
individual rocker arms are replaced new on a engine.
Reconditioned rocker assemblies are used where rocker shafts
are required. |
3.
|
To
ensure thorough internal cleaning, all galley plugs must be
removed, and galleys manually cleaned. Some remanufacturers
avoid this costly step, thereby possibly effecting the useful
life of the engine. |
